Silicone Tubing for Medical Engineering - platinum-vulcanized

Application area Medicine, surgery, pharmacy, laboratory technology Product specification... more

Application area

Medicine, surgery, pharmacy, laboratory technology

Product specification

Only high-grade platinum-catalyzed (addition cross-linked) silicone is used for production. Platinum crosslinked silicone is free of ingredients of animal origin and is often used in sterile process equipment because tubes made of this material have a smoother contact surface and a greater purity than the peroxyde and sulfur cross-linked. During the production there are no byproducts such as benzoic acid, peroxides or ketones

Ultrapure, not toxic without peroxyde, absolutely free of smell and taste.

Thermosensitive, immediately adapting to body temperature without decrease in lumen size

Very good physiological properties, biocompatible

Non-toxic, free from pyrogenes, and compatible with blood (tolerated by blood)

Medically pure

Free from natural rubber latex, dry natural rubber, or synthetic latex

Antiadhesive (repulsive) surface properties

The nature of surface reduces the risk of damage to tissues and blood cells

Quality assurance according to ISO 9002/EN 29002
