Drum pumps & barrel pumps for industrial engineering

Drum pumps and barrel pumps or container pumps are the basic equipment in the operating technology of every company and are used in laboratory technology, operating technology, chemical technology, process technology, transfer and filling technology in dealing with a wide variety of media which are stored in the barrel. These types of pumps are used for pumping liquids from drums or other containers. Canister pumps are also available for particularly small quantities which have to be carried from small canisters. Whether from a barrel or a canister, you'll find the optimal pump for both types of containers in our range. Both pumps are useful for pumping aggressive media. You're guaranteed to discover the ideal canister or drum pump for your desired application in the extensive range of Reichelt Chemietechnik's online shop.

Drum pumps

The container pumps, as drum pumps are also called, are designed in such a way that they can be used to convey low-viscosity to medium-viscosity liquids of all kinds which are stored in the barrel. Feed pumps made of plastic and stainless steel provide discharge heads up to 14 mWS. The pump can be operated with a medium temperature of max. +100°C, whereby it is important that the pumps are generally equipped with an overcurrent circuit breaker. The power consumption of the pump is 825 watts.

Canister pumps and lifting pumps

Tank pumps and lifting pumps are basically plastic pumps made of the materials LDPE (low-density polyethylene) and PP. A pump made of these materials is intended for use in organic and inorganic solutions in routine operation. Canister pumps are powerful units which are suitable for liquids up to 1400 cP at +20°C. The maximum pumping capacity of the pumps is between 15 and 220 litres. The filling volume of the pump is 200 ml per stroke. It is worth noting that the rising pipe of the pumps can be adjusted in any length, so that the pumps can be screwed onto all containers and onto any drum or canister with an opening of 64 mm.

Lifting pumps are used for emptying bottles and laboratory carboys, small tanks and open laboratory containers up to about 100 l. The immersion depths of the pump are 700 to 1000 mm.
