Hose Barbs with Internal Threads/Screw Threads Made of Brass or Stainless Steel as Screw-On Barbs with and without Safety Flange and Clamp Jaw Binding
Screw-on barbs as hose barbs with internal threads/screw threads made of brass/stainless steel
- ensure the highest pressure resistance depending on the type, up to a maximum of 25 bar (PN 16).
- The hose barbs are optionally available with and without a safety flange.
- For laboratory technology, hose olives for hoses with I.D. 6 mm, 9 mm, and 13 mm are offered.
- For process technology, hose olives for hoses with inner diameters of 19 mm, 25 mm, 32 mm, 36 mm, 43 mm, 50 mm, 63 mm, 78 mm, and 86 mm are available.
Material Properties for Brass and Stainless Steel
Stainless Steel
- Stainless steel is presented as alloyed or unalloyed steel with high purity.
- Stainless steel is offered according to DIN 100200. This is a particularly high-quality steel grade of the highest purity, with sulfur and phosphate content not exceeding 0.02%.
- Non-rusting steels are absolutely corrosion-resistant, with high chromium content and proportions of molybdenum and other alloying components ensuring particularly high corrosion resistance.
Brass
- Brass is a copper alloy with a zinc content of about 40%. The chemical composition is given as CuZnx, where x represents the zinc content.
- Generally, zinc is harder than copper but not harder than bronze, noting that this alloy consists of zinc and copper.
- The color of brass fittings is light yellow, indicating a brass content of about 36%.
- The corrosion behavior is significantly determined by the addition of nickel.
Overview of the Screw-On Barbs Range
- Straight hose barbs with internal threads made of brass - nickel-plated
- Industrial screw-on barbs made of steel with safety flange
- Industrial threaded hose connectors made of stainless steel with internal threads for clamp jaw binding
- Industrial hose fittings made of brass and stainless steel with internal threads
- Brass screw connectors
- Industrial hose clamps made of malleable cast iron
- Clamp jaws made of aluminum for threaded hose connectors
