Luer-Lock Connectors

Male and Female Luer-Lock Adapters
Male
These Luer-Lock connectors are produced with the male threads G 1/8", G 1/4", UNF 1/4"-28, M 5 x 0.8, M 6 x 1, M 8 x 1.25 and M 10 x 1.5 in the materials PP (polypropylene, Hostalen® PP), PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride, Kynar®) and PFA (perfluoroalkoxy). Versions with a female thread are manufactured for pressures up to a maximum of 10 bar at 20 °C, using the G 1/8" thread, from PP, PVDF and PFA.
Female
Female adapters can withstand up to max. 10 bar at 20 °C and are kept in stock with the threads G 1/8", G 1/4", UNF 1/4"-28, M 5 x 0.8, M 6 x 1, M 8 x 1.25 and M 10 x 1.5 in the materials PP, PVDF and PFA.
Tube Adapters
Luer-Lock tube connectors – both male and female – are available for tubes with outer diameters of 0.7, 1, 1.6, 2, 2.4, 2.5 and 3 mm. These, too, are made from PP, PVDF and PFA and are designed for pressures up to a maximum of 1 bar at 20 °C.
Hose Adapters
We also offer male Luer-Lock hose adapters for flexible and rigid hoses, in the hose dimensions (I.D.) 1.6, 2.4, 3.2, 4 and 4.8 mm. These Luer fittings are available in the materials PA 6.6 (polyamide, Nylon®), PP and PC (polycarbonate, Makrolon®). The female versions for rigid plastic hoses are offered with inner diameters of 1.6, 2.4, 3.2 and 4 mm. In addition, we stock Luer-Lock hose adapters for flexible hoses, designed for hoses with an inner diameter of 1.6, 2.4, 3.2 and 4 mm.
Chemical Resistance
of the plastics from which the Luer-Lock connectors are manufactured:
PA 6.6 (Polyamide 6.6 / Nylon)
PA 6.6 is resistant to lubricants, petrol and oils, aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, cyclic hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons, as well as to trichloroethylene and perchloroethylene. It is conditionally resistant to weak organic acids, ammonia and amines, as well as to hot water and UV radiation.
PP (Polypropylene)
PP is an engineering plastic that is resistant to lubricants and petrol, aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols and ketones, as well as to organic acids, mineral acids, hydrogen peroxide, alkaline solutions, ammonia and amines.
PC (Polycarbonate)
PC has relatively limited resistance overall; it is, however, resistant to ethylene oxide, formaldehyde solutions and hot water. Makrolon® is conditionally resistant to methanol and ethanol up to 96%, to higher alcohols, petrol and other aliphatic hydrocarbons, and to dilute mineral acids.
PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride)
The fluoroplastic PVDF is resistant to petrol, aliphatic hydrocarbons, halogenated solvents, ammonia solutions and aliphatic amines, as well as to aniline, mineral acids, organic acids, hydrogen peroxide and UV radiation. PVDF is conditionally resistant to benzene, xylene and other aromatic hydrocarbons, phenols, paint solutions and alkaline amines.
PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy)
PFA ensures the highest resistance when in contact with petrol and other aliphatic hydrocarbons, benzene, xylene and other aromatic hydrocarbons, phenols, halogenated solvents, esters, ketones, caustic soda, caustic potash, ammonia solutions and aliphatic amines, aniline, pyridine and other aromatic amines, mineral acids and organic acids. It is likewise resistant to hydrogen peroxide and UV radiation. PFA is completely non-resistant to free alkali metals, which decompose it.
Temperature Properties / Operating Temperatures / Temperature Resistance

- PFA (Chemfluor®) Temperature range: -200 °C to +260 °C, short-term up to +280 °C
- PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride / Kynar® / Solef®) Temperature range: -30 °C to +150 °C, short-term +160 °C
