Mini-hose connectors with nozzles/olives are produced from the plastics PA 6.6, PP, as well as PVDF.
Mini-hose connectors with nozzles/olives made of plastic are used for adapting rubber hoses/micro hoses; these hose connectors are specifically designed for problem-solving in biotechnology, analytical technology, and laboratory technology. Mini-hose connectors are compatible with medical silicone hoses, laboratory hoses, FPM/FKM pump hoses, and hoses for analytical purposes.
Material Selection for Mini-Hose Connectors
RCT presents the following plastics for mini-hose connectors:
- PA 6.6 (Nylon)
- PP (Polypropylene)
- PVDF (Solef®/Kynar®)
Operating Temperatures
Temperature ranges for the plastics from which the hose connectors are produced are as follows:
- PA 6.6 (Nylon)
-40°C to +110°C
- PP (Polypropylene)
40°C to +110°C
- PVDF (Solef®/Kynar®)
-40°C to +150°C, short-term up to +165°C
Chemical Resistance for Mini-Hose Connectors with Plastic Nozzles/Olives:
- PA 6.6 (Polyamide 6.6/Nylon)
Resistant to gasoline, lubricants, oils, aliphatic hydrocarbons, ketones, alcohols, cyclic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, cycloethylene, trichloroethylene, and perchloroethylene. The material is conditionally resistant to weak organic acids.
- PP (Polypropylene/Hostalen® PP)
Shows excellent resistance to lubricants, gasoline, aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, organic acids, mineral acids, hydrogen peroxide, alkaline solutions, ammonia, and amines.
- PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride/Solef®/Kynar®)
PVDF is a fluoroplastic that is resistant to gasoline, aliphatic hydrocarbons, halogenated solvents, ammonia solutions, aliphatic amines, aniline, mineral acids, organic acids, hot water, and UV radiation.
The range of connectors all in mini size:
- Reducing hose nozzles with barb
- Reducing hose nozzles without barb
- Symmetrical T-reducing hose nozzles
- Asymmetrical T-reducing hose nozzles
- T-hose nozzles with rounded barb
- Hose nozzles with cubic barb
- Angle hose nozzles with rounded barb
- Angle hose nozzles with cubic barb
- Y-hose nozzles
