General Information

For use in analytical technology, biotechnology, medical engineering, battery technology, microelectronics, process technology and chemical process engineering.

For transport of acids, alkalis, salt solutions, including solutions with a high chloride content, and solvents, including halogenated ones. For use in low pressure components of HPLC systems, particularly in metal-free set-ups and for low-pressure liquid chromatography.

Very good coefficient of sliding friction, lowest friction coefficient of all fluoroplastics

Antiadhesive surface

Very good dielectric properties, independent of frequency and temperature

Very good insulating properties, even under humid conditions

Excellent UV and weather resistance

Low mechanical strength properties (unless manufactured with additives or fillers)

No water absorption

Very high gas-tightness (low gas permeability)

High tracking resistance

Non-flammable

Flexible, impact resistant and resistant to aging

Free of extractable components, physiologically safe and biocompatible.

Free from plasticizers, latex and silicone

PTFE is a fluoroplast with excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents and gases. Heat resistant up to +260 °C, depending on mechanical load and chemical exposure. PTFE is not resistant to some fluorine compounds as well as molten alkali metals at higher temperatures.

Material: PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene)

Colour: milky, weakly translucent

Temperature range: -200 to +260 °C, for a short time +280 °C

Tolerances inside Ø:

0 - 0.9 mm: ±0.07 mm

1 - 2.9 mm: ±0.15 mm

3 - 5 mm: ±0.20 mm

5 - 7 mm: ±0.25 mm

7 - 10 mm: ±0.30 mm

15 - 20 mm: ±0.40 mm

Tolerances wall thickness:

0.1 - 0.3 mm: ±0.07 mm

0.3 - 0.6 mm: ±0.10 mm

0.6 - 1.0 mm: ±0.15 mm

1.0 - 2.0 mm: ±0.20 mm
