PTFE Capillary Tubing - imperial
General Information
For use in analytical technology, biotechnology, medical engineering, microelectronics, process technology and chem. process engineering.
For conveyance of acids, alkalis, salt solutions, also of strongly chloride-containing ones, and solvents, also halogenated ones. For use in the low-pressure part of HPLC systems, particularly in metal-free set-ups and for low-pressure liquid chromatography.
Conveying tubing
Very good chemical resistance
Very high temperature resistance
Very good coefficient of sliding friction
Antiadhesive surface
Very good dielectric properties
Highest gas-tightness
Low mechanical stability (without fillers)
Flexible, impact resistant, and resistant to aging
Free of extractable constituents, physiologically safe, and biocompatible.
PTFE is a fluoroplast with excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents and gases. Depending on the degree of mechanical and chemical loading the material is heat-resistant up to +260 °C. PTFE is not resistant to fluorine compounds and molten alkali metals at higher temperatures.
Material: PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene)
Colour: milky, weakly translucent
Temperature range: -200 to +260 °C, for a short time +280 °C
