Our seals and gaskets include O-rings, sealing rings, pharmaceutical seals, clamp seals, flat seals, flange seals, milk tube seals, milk tube fitting rings made of plastic - partly FDA and BfR compliant

In addition to O-rings according to DIN ISO 3601 and flat seals and gaskets, the sealing technology range also includes clamp seals and milk tube fitting rings, which are made of a variety of elastomers and plastics.

O-rings are made of the materials EPDM, FEP/FPM, FEP/VMQ, FFKM (Simmeriz®, Kalrez®, Chemraz®), FPM (Viton®), HNBR, NBR (Perbunan®), PTFE (THOMAFLON) and VMQ (silicone, THOMASIL).

Flat gaskets are used as static seals; they are made of the materials aramid, EPDM, FPM (Viton®), NBR, Teflon® (THOMAFLON) as well as graphite. The offer is wide-ranging and solves sealing problems in laboratory technology as well as in process technology.

Clamp seals and gaskets guarantee a fast and particularly secure pipe connection in process and plant technology. The clamp seals are produced according to DIN 32676 and manufactured in the materials EPDM and NBR (Perbunan®).

Milk tube fitting rings comply with DIN 11851. They are FDA-compliant or BfR-compliant and are therefore considered food safe. They are manufactured in the materials NBR (Perbunan®), EPDM, FPM (Viton®), silicone (THOMASIL), VMQ (THOMASIL) and PTFE (THOMAFLON).

Sealing rings are made of EPDM, H-NBR, NBR (Perbunan/Nitrile), silicone (THOMASIL), FPM/FKM (Viton/THOMAFLUOR) and PTFE (THOMAFLON). O-rings are sealing rings which are both FDA and BfR compliant.

Clamp seals and gaskets made of EPDM are FDA/BfR-compliant sealing ringsclamp seals and gaskets made of NBR/perbunan/nitrile are also FDA/BfR compliant. Sealing rings from both DVGW and KTW are approved for EPDM and NBR.

The clamp seals made of EPDM and NBR are pharmaceutical seals and gaskets.

 

The range of sealing rings is expanded by flat and flange seals

Flange sealing rings and gaskets made of FPM/FKM (Viton®/THOMAFLUOR) are high-temperature seals which can withstand temperatures of up to +200°C and ensure an ultimate elongation of about 200%. Flat and flange sealing rings and gaskets made of EPDM (Keltan®) are highly resistant to all alkalis and acids as well as polar media.

EPDM flat and flange seals are resistant in practice to glycol-based brake fluids and to oxidising media such as peracetic acid.

Flat seals/flange seals made of NBR (perbunan, nitrile) are used in connection with mineral oils, motor oils and fuels, as well as in connection with dilute acids and alkalis. These NBR sealing rings are used in the petrochemical industry, in the petroleum industry, in mechanical engineering and in chemical engineering. 

Sealing rings and gaskets for food technology

Milk tube seals or milk tube fitting rings comply with the regulations of the FDA and BfR. These are sealing rings and gaskets made of EPDM, which have proven to be effective for hot goods applications, steam and hot water.

Milk tube seals and gaskets made of FPM/FKM (Viton®/THOMAFLUOR) are high-temperature seals up to max. +200°C.They find their place whenever fuels, mineral oils, fats and waxes are used.

Milk tube fitting rings FDA made of silicone (THOMASIL) are high-temperature sealing rings for a maximum temperature of +200°C.

PTFE milk tube fitting rings FDA stand out through their universal chemical resistance to organic and inorganic media as well as when used for high-temperature applications up to +260°C. These sealing rings are therefore also defined as high-temperature seals.

EPDM milk tube fitting rings/EPDM milk tube seals and gaskets are considered pharmaceutical O-Rings. The working temperature for milk tube sealing rings/milk tube fitting rings is certified at -50°C to +150°C.

NBR milk tube fitting rings/NBR milk tube sealing rings/NBR milk tube seals are considered pharmaceutical sealing rings. They are food safe and are used in the pharmaceutical industry, the food industry, medical technology and biotechnology. 

Silicone milk tube fittings/silicone milk tube seals/silicone seals/silicone pharmaceutical seals FDA are made of transparent vinyl methyl silicone rubber and are also called THOMASIL milk tube sealing rings and gaskets. 

PTFE milk tube fitting rings/PTFE milk tube sealing rings/PTFE milk tube seals/THOMAFLON milk tube fitting rings are produced with the Shore hardness D 56° according to DIN 53505. THOMAFLON milk tube seals/PTFE milk tube seals are considered high-temperature sealing rings as well as high-performance sealing rings.

EPDM flat gaskets are extremely resistant to ageing and weathering as well as being cold and heat resistant. The tear resistance of the EPDM flat seals is remarkable.

Graphite flange seals/graphite flat gaskets are considered high-performance seals or high-temperature flat gaskets, which consist of 98% pure graphite.

PTFE flat seals/PTFE flange seals and gaskets are high-temperature seals or high-performance seals.

 

Clamp seals and gaskets

Clamp seals and gaskets made of EPDM are ideally used for hot water applications, but are also used in the steam sector. Here EPDM clamp seals and gaskets can be permanently subjected to up to +180°C, although it is also possible to subject the clamp seals to up to +210°C. 

NBR clamp seals and gaskets are approved for drinking water supplies and food technology due to the material specification.
