Product specification

A black coloured special tubing made of silicone according to formula IGB 50 in an electrically conducting compound mixture (silicone-carbon-compound), which guarantees the tubing to have absolutely conductive properties throughout. It is not a tubing fitted with a conductive carbon vein or core, but a 100 % homogenous compound consisting of silicone/graphite.

The tubing is produced by addition of selected components, it is dyed black and it is extremely supple. The wall thickness is constant, the inner surface is absolutely smooth. The tubing is non-porous and of high tearing strength.

Hardly changed mechanical properties over the entire temperature range

UV and ozone resistance (radiation and aging resistant)

Excellent compression set

Very good flame resistance

No toxic combustion gases and plasticizer-free

Technical specification

Material: silicone, MVQ (polysiloxane), electrically conductive, platinum-cured

Shore hardness A: 50° and 70° ±5° resp. (DIN 53505)

Temperature range: -50 to +180 °C

Tearing strength: 6 MPa (DIN 53504)

Tear propagation resistance: 12 N/mm respectively (ASTM D624 B)

The first-mentioned value of the following values refers to a shore hardness of 50° and the second value to a shore hardness of 70°.

Density: 1.13 and 1.17 g/cm3 respectively (DIN 53479 A)

Elongation at break: 350 and 200 % respectively (DIN 53504)

Volume Resistivity: 12 and 2 Ohm * cm (VDE 0303)

Compression set: 25 % and 30 % respectively at +175 °C / 22 h (DIN ISO 815)

Flammability rating: UL 94 HB (tested on the test specimen, self-extinguishing)

Each parameter was measured after vulcanization and annealing for 4 hrs at +200 °C in a circulating air furnace.
