High-Quality Metal Protective Hoses – Flexible, Durable and Spark-Resistant
A protective hose made of metal provides reliable protection for sensitive line systems – whether in industry, mechanical engineering or welding technology. The flexible metal protective hoses from Reichelt Chemietechnik are made of galvanized steel or stainless steel and are used for the safe sheathing of cables, electrical lines or technical tubing. In addition to protection against mechanical impacts, they are also suitable as spark protection hoses, for example during welding work or in work areas exposed to sparks. They also provide an effective barrier against splash water and spray.
The RCT range includes metal protective tubing in various designs – including robust stainless steel pressure hoses made of material 1.4541. These are reinforced with a stainless steel wire braid made of 1.4301 and are therefore also suitable for pressure and vacuum applications.
Wide Range of Stainless Steel Hoses and Metal Protective Hoses for Technical Applications
The stainless steel metal hoses available from Reichelt Chemietechnik are offered in various technical versions – each tailored to specific application areas. Whether as a flexible metal protective hose for harsh environments or as a stainless steel line for pressure and vacuum applications: all versions are characterized by high temperature and pressure resistance as well as their flexible yet stable design.
The standard range of stainless steel hoses includes, among others:
- Stainless steel pressure hoses
- Stainless steel pressure hoses with straight ends
- Stainless steel pressure hoses with threaded connections
- Stainless steel vacuum hoses with small flanges
A flexible metal protective hose from our range enables secure connection to common systems and is suitable for both pressure and vacuum applications.
Temperature Resistance and Operating Temperatures of the Metal Protective Hoses
Each metal protective hose available from RCT is designed for demanding thermal conditions. Depending on the version, the stainless steel pressure hoses are suitable not only for high pressures but also for extreme temperatures – whether in continuous operation or during short-term peak loads.
The following temperature ranges apply to the respective protective hose types:
- Metal protective hoses: -50 °C to +250 °C
- Stainless steel pressure hoses: -10 °C to +550 °C
- Stainless steel pressure tubing with straight ends: -10 °C to +550 °C
- Stainless steel vacuum hoses with small flanges: -10 °C to +550 °C
Corrugated Hoses – Flexible Pressure and Protective Hoses Made of Metal for Versatile Applications
So-called corrugated hoses are available from Reichelt Chemietechnik as stainless steel pressure hoses with straight ends and small flanges. These variants are additionally equipped with a stainless steel wire braid made of material 1.4301. Alternatively, they are also available by the meter – i.e. without end fittings – allowing flexible further processing.
The range also includes metal protective hoses made of galvanized steel, which are primarily used as robust protective sheathing for electrical lines, cables and other line systems. They provide reliable protection against welding spatter (spark protection), splash water and mechanical loads. Protection class IP 50 and the wide temperature range of –50 °C to +250 °C underline their suitability for industrial applications. For more demanding applications, RCT also offers stainless steel pressure hoses made of material 1.4541, which are suitable for temperatures from –10 °C to +550 °C and withstand pressures of up to 16 bar at +20 °C. These products are available with different connections – including small flanges, straight ends and threaded connections.
A special version consists of stainless steel vacuum hoses, which are also equipped with small flanges. These assemblies are suitable for high-vacuum applications and are tested according to the helium leak test (< 10⁻⁹ mbar l/s). Delivery includes a 3.1B inspection certificate in accordance with DIN 10204, confirming their suitability for sensitive applications in research, production and analytics.
