Cation-Exchange Membrane for Base Dialysis
Product specification
THOMAPOR®-membranes for base dialysis are produced by grafting a cation-exchange monomer on a special low-pressure polyethylene. The introduction of these small chain segments in the polyethylene framework renders the membrane hydrophilic.
THOMAPOR®-membranes have a low resistivity in alkaline media. They are suited for recovery of sodium hydroxide out of viscose solutions. The support film consists of HDPE (high density polyethylene). The graft type is weakly cationic.
Electrodialysis membranes have always to be kept wet and should be stored in a 3 % NaCl solution in a cool and dark place.
