Cuttings of dialysing membranes for all THOMAPOR®-Biochem Dialyser Systems, System MED, items 58929 to 58964, made of cellulose acetate (CA) or regenerated cellulose (RC) with graduated cut-offs (MWCO) between 100 and 100,000 dalton.

Handling instructions: THOMAPOR®-dialysing membranes are stabilized with 0.05 % sodium azide solution against contamination with microorganisms; they are precleaned and free of glycerol and heavy metal contaminations. Before use, the sodium azide solution has to be washed out with a sufficient amount of purified water. CA membranes are less stable to organic solvents, acetonitrile and alcohols, but feature a lower protein binding than RC membranes. The MWCO range is better-defined for CA membranes than for RC membranes. The membranes have always to be kept wet and handling has to be adapted to the usual, low mechanical stability. Touching by hands should be avoided.
