Product specification

Micro-dialysing double-membrane system for applications in biochemistry such as gentle "high-speed" desalination and buffer exchange by use of THOMAPOR®-dialysing membranes made of celluloseacetate (CA) items 58965 to 58990, or regenerated cellulose (RC), items 15000 to 15017, for quantities between 50 and 5,000 µl. Completely made of PTFE, absolutely biocompatible and sterilizable; also available with involved magnetic stirring bar for moving the system in the dialysing vessel by magnetic stirrers.

The sample compartment of the dialyser is closed on one side with a dialysing membrane on which one of the two PTFE closures is screwed. By means of a micropipette or a microliter syringe the sample is filled in the sample compartment (sample chamber) and covered with the second dialysing membrane, on which the second PTFE closure is then screwed. For dialysis the dialyser prepared in this way is placed in the dialysing vessel filled with water or buffer where the dialysis takes place via the membranes on both sides. Dialysis with the THOMAPOR®-Duplex Micro Biochem Dialyser chamber can also be done when the sample compartment is not completely filled and does not require bubble-free filling-in. After termination of the dialysis the sample is taken out without loss with a microliter syringe by puncturing one of the two membranes through the PTFE closure.
