Chemical features:

Good resistance to weak and strong alkalis and acids, except oxidizing acids, and only relatively suitable for hydrofluoric acid; resistant to organic acids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, greases and mineral oils, alkohols, ketones, esters and amines.

Material specification:

Very low tendency to swell when in contact with polar fluids (e.g. alkohols, organic acids, esters, ketones etc.) as well as greases, oils and waxes.

Resistance to weather: the material degrades when exposed to direct sunlight

Material: HDPE (polyethylene, rigid, high density)

Density: 0.95 g/cm³

Temperature range: -50 to +85 °C, for a short time +100 °C

Elastic modulus: 700 - 1,400 N/mm²

Volume resistivity: >10¹⁷ Ohm x cm (DIN 53482)

Dielectric strength: 65 - 70 kV/mm at 0.4 mm thickness

Dielectric constant: approx. 2.4 at 50 Hz

Water absorption: <0.1 % (ISO 62)

Flammability rating: UL 94 HB
