RCT®-Accessories: Tube Carrying Bracket
Product specification
The carrying brackets are required to connect flexible tubing by screwed pipe joints.
General Information EMP-4
THOMAFLUID®-pipe screw fittings are used for connecting pipes made of various materials such as metal, glass or plastic e.g. PA, PTFE or PVDF. This represents a considerable advantage of this kind of screwed fittings. The screw fitting is not limited to use with rigid pipes but also with flexible pipes or tubing. In this case, carrying brackets (items 22036-54) are required.
THOMAFLUID®-pipe screw fittings of the MULTIFIT®-EMP-series can be screwed into THOMAFLUID®-valves, cocks, and flowmeters of the MULTIFIT®-EMP-series.
Assembly:
The connection principle entails pushing the pipe against the inner edge of the connector and sealing with a sealing ring. The pipe is secured in place by a cutting ring (PEEK), which is forced against the pipe by a nut. The more the nut is screwed onto the connector body, the more the slotted cutting ring wedges the pipe. The result is a tight, friction-locked connection, which can be released at any time. The design concept eliminates the dead volume. It also has no effect on the flow because the inside diameter is identical to that of the pipe.
If flexible tubing has have to be adapted using THOMAFLUID®-pipe screw fittings, first the carrying brackets have to be put in the flexible tubes. Afterwards, the fixed assembly is done by tightening the cap nut.

General Information EMP-4 High-Pure
THOMAFLUID®-pipe screw fittings are used for connecting pipes made of various materials such as metal, glass or plastic e.g. PA, PTFE or PVDF. This represents a considerable advantage of this kind of screwed fittings. The screw fitting is not limited to use with rigid pipes but also with flexible pipes or tubing. In this case, carrying brackets (items 22036 - 22054 and items 304902 - 304934) are required. THOMAFLUID®-PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) pipe screw fittings of the MULTIFIT®-EMP-series can be screwed into THOMAFLUID®-valves, cocks, and flowmeters of the MULTIFIT®-EMP-series.
Assembly:
The straight-cutted pipe is plugged into the screw fitting until stop. Tightening of the cap nut leads to compression of a cutting ring made of PEEK (polyether etherketone), thus sealing the connection between pipe and screw joint body by means of a sealing ring made of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). If flexible tubing has have to be adapted using THOMAFLUID®-pipe screw fittings, first the carrying brackets have to be put in the flexible tubes. Afterwards, the fixed assembly is done by tightening the cap nut.
PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy)
High-quality technical plastic for chemical apparatus and machine construction as well as electrical engineering
Chemical, thermal and dielectrical properties practically such as PTFE, but suitable for thermoplastic processing (welding, die casting, deep drawing). Lower medium diffusion, better transparency, larger hardness and better dimensional stability (lower tendency to cold flow) compared to PTFE.
Highest temperature resistance of all meltable fluorinated plastics
Very high dimensional stability in heat
Very high resistance to media
Very good pressure resistance
Low friction coefficient
Can be treated by autoclave (absolute sterile)
Comply with the guidelines from FDA and USP Class VI.
Excellent resistance to weather
