General Information MULTIFIT® PVDF

PVDF is a fluorinated thermoplastic with a lot of excellent chemical and mechanical properties.

A particular characteristic of the MULTIFIT®-pipe fittings is the construction of the gasket. The O-rings do not only prevent the formation of leaks but also the occurence of torsional tensions in the pipes. The torsional forces are not transmitted to the pipes but are confined to the screwed fitting parts; consequently, this system guarantees absolute safety even with the most complicated applications.

Gaskets: FPM (fluorinated rubber)

Colour: nature, slightly translucent

Density: 1.75 g/cm3

Temperature range: -40 to +140 °C

Shore hardness D: 79° (great hardness)

Water absorption: <0.04 % (water resistant)

Tensile strength: 38 - 50 N/mm2

Elongation at break: 12 %

Surface resistance: >1013 Ohm

Melt flow index MFR: 6 g/10 min.
