Chemical features:

Good resistance to weak alkalis and acids as well as inorganic salt solutions; limited resistance to organic acids, mineral oils, fats and oils.

Material specification:

PVC products usually feature quite a good resistance to media and weather, and are distinguished by their flame resistance.

Low water absorption

Good resistance to UV radiation

Good electrical insulation

PVC is not suitable for use with polar solvents due to its polar structure, therefore only limited resistance to hydrolysis.

In contrast to rigid PVC (PVC-U), plasticized PVC (PVC-P) is only moderately suitable for use with mineral oils and fats as well as aliphatic hydrocarbons (e.g. alcohols) due to the used plasticizers.

Can be bonded, welded and cutted

Up to +40 °C rubbery-elastic, leather-like
