THOMAPOR®-membranes "RP" for acid dialysis are produced by grafting an anion-exchange monomer in low-pressure polyethylene. The introduction of these small chain segments renders the membrane hydrophilic.
THOMAPOR®-membranes "RP" have a low resistivity in acid media. They are best suited for recovery of acids out of pickling solutions, for copper refining and electroplating solutions. The support film consists of HDPE (high density polyethylene). The graft type is weakly anionic.
Electrodialysis membranes have always to be kept wet and should be stored in a 3 % NaCl solution in a cool and dark place.
