Inclined seat manual shut-off valves belong to the group of angle seat shut-off valves made from plastic: PVC-U, PP and PVDF

Inclined seat manual shut-off valves

belong to the group of inclined seat shut-off valves made from plastic, which are used in process engineering, process technology, chemical engineering and in wastewater technology. They are used in particular for desulfurisation plants and denitrification plants, but also in water treatment, environmental technology, sanitary technology and hygiene technology.

The product range

includes:

  • Manual shut-off valves (inclined seat) made from PVC-U
  • Manual shut-off valves (inclined seat) made from PP
  • Manual shut-off valves (inclined seat) made from PVDF

Product features of the inclined seat manual shut-off valves

Inclined seat shut-off valves made from PVC-U

  • The valves are used for installation in PVC-U pipelines in accordance with DIN 8062.
  • All the valve components are made from PVC-U; it is important that the plastic does not contain any plasticisers; the seals of the inclined seat manual shut-off valves are made from EPDM (Perbunan).
  • The valves are equipped with screw connections on both sides and these in turn with solvent cement sockets.

Inclined seat shut-off valves made from PP

  • The valves are intended for installation in PE or PP pipelines in accordance with DIN 8074; all the valve components are made from polypropylene.
  • On both sides, the valves are equipped with screw connections, which in turn are each equipped with welding stubs. The inserts are made from PP and the O-rings are made from viton (FPM/FKM).

Inclined seat shut-off valves made from PVDF

  • The manual shut-off valves are used for installation in PVC piping systems; the material PVDF is highly chemically resistant, so a large portion of organic and inorganic media can be used.
  • The media-carrying parts are the valve body, the spindle, the valve disc as well as the support ring and the clamping ring of the respective valve; they are also made from PVDF.
  • The manual shut-off valves are equipped with screw connections on both sides and these in turn are equipped with welding stubs.
  • The fluoroelastomer Viton (FPM/FKM) is used as sealing elements/seals.

Nominal sizes

All the valves, regardless of the type of plastic, are produced in the nominal sizes (NS):
 20 mm, 25 mm, 32 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm and 63 mm.

Reliably regulate process flows with manual shut-off valves

Manual shut-off valves as inclined seat valves made from plastic are used in process technology as well as process engineering in many industries and laboratories. The manual valves regulate the flow in pipelines and so reliably prevent malfunctions which can be caused by contamination of the medium. Strainers are then used for media cleaning, so that impurities of the medium can be intercepted or collected in advance. Manual shut-off valves are also available in a straight version as straight-through valves.

Shut-off valves designed differently for different requirements

Manual shut-off valves from Reichelt Chemietechnik are manufactured and offered in nominal sizes of 20 mm, 32 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm and 63 mm, and this applies to all the material groups.

The shut-off valves, which are designed as inclined seat valves, are supplied as a complete system with screw connections and end pieces. With the manual shut-off valves or manual valves made from PVC-U (rigid PVC), the connection to the pipeline is secured by gluing. This is carried out with Tangit® PVC-U adhesive (cat. no. 350154).

When installing manual shut-off valves as inclined seat valves, the respective fittings are welded to the corresponding pipes made from the same material. Nevertheless, it is possible to detach the pipe from the inclined seat valve. This is done by loosening the pipeline fitting or valve fitting on the inclined seat valve.
