For bioengineering and biotechnology, more precisely for HPLC (high-pressure liquid chromatography), RCT offers metal capillaries as high-pressure capillaries. In particular, these are stainless steel capillaries as well as stainless steel pipes made from the materials 1.4301 and 1.4401 (AISI 316), which are kept in store with the outer diameters of 0.5 mm, 0.8 mm, 1.6 mm and 3.2 mm.

Titanium capillaries

RCT's range also includes titanium or HPLC capillaries for metal-free HPLC, whereby it should be emphasised that the titanium capillaries are made from the purest titanium and therefore there is no contamination of the samples. These are offered with the outer diameters 1/16" and 1/8". In addition, RCT offers modified stainless steel capillaries made from the material 1.4301, which is covered with a borosilicate layer on the inside and is used in particular for conveying the purest media. The temperature load of this modified metal capillary is at a maximum of +500°C (permanent). Capillaries which have been coated with stainless steel are biocompatible and, in particular, absolutely resistant to the strongest acids and alkalis. The capillaries are available with the outer diameters 1/16", 1/8" and 1/4". We have ensured that most hoses and capillaries made from metal or titanium are also provided in very small quantities.

Both the vacuum hoses and the pressure hoses are made of the material stainless steel 1.4541, the temperature range of which is between -10°C and +550°C. The stainless steel hoses are configured differently, on the one hand with threaded connections and on the other hand with straight end pieces for adaptation to other systems or pipe connectors.
