Pipe fittings with internal thread made of plastic

Viewed

Plastic fittings with Internal Threads Made of Plastic for Various Pipe Variants are Produced from PFA, PTFE, PVDF, and PP.

Reichelt Chemietechnik is a specialized manufacturer and supplier of high-quality hoses and suitable hose connectors made from premium materials such as PVC, PFA, PVDF, and other plastics. Our range includes various pipe connector articles, which, as an alternative to external threads or glue sleeves, are equipped with an internal thread and are very popular in industrial applications. The fittings are produced from the following materials:

  • PP (Polypropylene, Hostalen®PP)
  • PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride, Kynar®, Solef®)
  • PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy)
  • PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene, THOMAFLON)

RCT presents in its program plastic pipe fittings with or without threads, which on one hand come with an internal or screw-on thread for screw connections, and on the other hand, are equipped with a pipe connection as a pipe screw connection. Additionally, you will discover many more products for hose technology made from PVC, PP, PFA, and other plastics. The pipe connection is used, for example, to connect rigid plastic hoses made from PTFE or PVDF. Moreover, we offer three variants: straight pipe connectors as well as elbow and T-pipe fittings.

Chemical Resistance of Our Plastic fittings

This includes the plastics:

  • PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy/Chemfluor)
PFA is considered an extremely notable and resistant fluoroplastic when used with gasoline and other aliphatic hydrocarbons, benzene, xylene, and other aromatic hydrocarbons, as well as phenols, halogenated solvents, esters, and ketones, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, ammonia solutions and aliphatic amines, aniline, pyridine, and other aromatic amines, mineral acids, organic acids, hydrogen peroxide, as well as hot water and UV radiation.
  • PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene/THOMAFLON)
As a fluoroplastic, PTFE is resistant when used with lubricants and gasoline, aliphatic hydrocarbons, benzene, xylene, and aromatic hydrocarbons, phenols, halogenated solvents, free halogens, esters, ketones, alkali solution, ammonia, and amines as well as mineral acids, organic acids, hydrogen peroxide, ozone, and other oxidizers, as well as hot water, steam, and UV radiation. PTFE is not resistant to high-energy radioactive radiation, free alkali metals, and fluorine.
  • PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride/Kynar®/Solef®)
As a fluoroplastic, PVDF is resistant when used with gasoline and other aliphatic hydrocarbons, halogenated solvents, ammonia solutions, and aliphatic amines as well as aniline, mineral acids, organic acids, hydrogen peroxide, hot water, and UV radiation. PVDF is less resistant/conditionally resistant to benzene, xylene, and other aromatic hydrocarbons as well as phenols.
  • PP (Polypropylene/Hostalon® PP)
PP is a technical plastic with a broad chemical resistance, particularly when used with lubricants and gasoline, aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, and ketones as well as organic acids, mineral acids, hydrogen peroxide, alkali solutions, ammonia, and amines.

Plastic Pipe Connectors Made of PP

PP screw-on fittingsare absolutely resistant to alcohols, ketones, and concentrated acids and bases. Their operating temperature is +5 °C to +90 °C, with the max. operational load being 10 bar based on +20 °C.

Plastic Pipe Connectors Made of PVDF

PVDF pipe connectors with internal threads are made of a high-quality plastic and are absolutely resistant to fats, alcohols, oils, halogens, acids, and bases. They are used in chemical equipment construction, mechanical engineering, medical technology and pharmaceutical technology, as well as in the food industry. The temperature range is between -40 °C and +150 °C, with the max. operating pressure stated as 10 bar at +20 °C. The plastic or raw material PVDF is FDA-compliant and BfR-compliant. It meets USP Class VI and the guidelines of KTW.

Plastic Pipe Connectors Made of PTFE

PTFE screw-on fittings, as well as numerous products and articles made of PVC, are also part of our online shop's range. The connectors with screw fittings prove themselves with excellent chemical resistance against most inorganic and organic media. The preferred application area of these articles is the pharmaceutical industry, medical technology, and chemical equipment construction, as well as process technology. The operating temperature is -200 °C to +150 °C, and the max. operating pressure is defined as 6 bar based on +20 °C.

Plastic Pipe Connectors Made of PFA

PFA pipe connectors are primarily used in medical technology and pharmaceutical technology. They are approved according to FDA and BfR and meet the requirements of USP Class VI and the European Pharmacopoeia. Their operating pressure is stated as 10 bar at +20 °C, while the actual operating temperature range is from -200 °C to +200 °C.
