Dear friends in Paris, Dear Mr. Martinelli, Dear Mr. Fer, Dear Mr. Chef, Our thoughts and feelings are with you. The craven terrorist attack on the people of France touch everyone who identifies with democracy and the values of freedom. We mourn with you, we cry with you, we feel with you. The suffering, that your fellow citizens have to endure, is not to be understood. The peoples of Europe must all the more do everything possible to demonstrate unity. They must close ranks to withstand terrorism. This also includes solidarity which has been missing among the peoples of Europe recently. Only if we defy the terror together and are willing to support each other and to ease one another's burdens, will we succeed in warding off the diabolical terror. This also means that the peoples of Europe must demonstrate unity among each other and speak with one voice with regard to the refugee policy. It is not acceptable that some Member States shoulder the whole burden of the refugees and others simply duck away and behave as if this problem does not concern them. Such behaviour shows a lack of solidarity and runs contrary to the spirit of the European Union. Solidarity is a noble value and at the same time a big mutual promise of the peoples of Europe. This promise should also be reflected in concerted action, when it comes to a fair distribution of the refugee burden in Europe. Especially at this time, the peoples of Europe must stand together and demonstrate solidarity, and have to deliver on their promise to see themselves as "European Community". When today that promise is counteracted by some partners, the question arises what our community is worth. I greet you wholeheartedly. Please be assured of my sympathy! Yours, Peter Reichelt

We proudly present the winners of the G.I.T. InnovationsAward 2012. Our readers, customers and many visitors of Analytica 2012 in Munich and of Achema 2012 in Frankfurt selected their favorites. All nominated products, are outstanding in their field of application and already have won by the participation in the final round.
The acknowledgment of the independent jury, the attention of all readers, and a strong appearance in the public. The voting was a close run. However, only three companies could climb on the podium in each category.
