Threaded barb connectors as hose nozzles/screw-in nozzles made of brass and stainless steel are produced with external and internal threads.

Hose nozzles with external threads or with internal threads are preferably used in chemical engineering as well as in process engineering, but also in laboratory technology for pilot plants. In addition to our plastic threaded barb connectors, they are an integral part of the RCT range.

Threaded barb connectors with external threads are available in the following thread types:

Product features

  • The nozzles as threaded barb connectors are offered with or without a safety collar and are equipped with a maximum bore that guarantees optimal/maximum flow.
  • The turned hose nozzles guarantee a perfect hose seat, the extended hoses.
  • As max. operating pressure applies 25 bar at +20 °C
  • The operating temperature/working temperature can be specified as -40 °C to +95 °C.

Hose nozzles / threaded barb connectors made of stainless steel and their features

  • Stainless steel 1.4401 in electropolished finish serves as the material
  • The connectors are smoothly polished and equipped with a retaining collar for the clamping jaw collar.
  • As max. operating pressure applies 10 bar at +20 °C.
  • The working temperature/operating temperature is named as -40 °C to +95 °C.

Material properties of the threaded barb connectors/hose nozzles with screw-in threads and screw-on threads

  • Brass is a copper alloy that is enriched with up to 40% zinc.
  • The color is light yellow, indicating that the brass content is greater than 36%. Due to this percentage, the material was formerly known as Ms 63, which defines its copper content.
  • Brass is harder than pure copper but not as hard as bronze.
  • Brass does not corrode, therefore brass is used for fittings in chemical and process engineering due to its good corrosion properties.
  • Stainless steel 1.4001 is a corrosion-resistant chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel with excellent resistance to chlorinated media and oxidizing acids.
  • The material is chemically particularly resistant, it is said to be stainless. The previously described properties are suitable for using the material in food technology, medical technology, and pharmaceutical technology, it is absolutely smooth and thus ensures that no bacterial nests can form on its surface, so it is used where critical media as well as highly pure media are to be filled.
