Charcoal is a natural filter that filtered water in rock layers millions of years ago. Calcium/Sodium Hydroxide Sorbent

The calcium/sodium hydroxide sorbent is a granule with weakly basic properties that react with all acidic gas components to form salts. It is used to remove carbon dioxide with very high absorption capacity. Furthermore, it is used to remove acidic gases such as H2S, SO2, SO3, HCl, HBr, HI, HF, Cl2, Br2, NO2, and NOX.
