Temperature range: -40 to +115 °C

Yellowing and reduction of strength depending on temperature and interaction time

Good sterilization with autoclave, ethylene oxide and gamma radiation (may discolour to brownish hue)

Good sterilization with ethylene oxide and gamma radiation (bis 6 Mrads; may discolor the material with repeated sterilization), autoclave limited to short term +121 °C for 20 min.

PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride)

Regulatory compliance to USP Class VI, FDA 21 CFR 177.2510, RoHS, BPA-free, DEHP-free, ADI-free

PVDF is non-toxic and can be used in the food industry without hesitation. According to FDA (USA), the material is physiologically safe. It is as unsuitable as glass for propagation and growing of microorganisms.

Excellent sterilization with autoclave, ethylene oxide and gamma radiation (will discolour to brownish hue)
