Tube pinch valves: Pinch valves for soft elastomer and rubber hoses

With the help of pinch valves for soft hoses, the media flow of conveying hoses can be easily and electronically controlled. In Reichelt Chemietechnik's range you'll find an extensive range of different tube pinch valves which can accommodate 1 to 8 hoses, namely for hose outer diameters from 1.6 mm to 9.5 mm.

The advantages of tube pinch valves are obvious:

  • Short response times enable precise media flow control
  • Easy start-up

Areas of application of tube pinch valves

Typical areas of application of tube pinch valves are laboratory technology, analysis technology as well as biotechnology and chemical technology. With the help of tube pinch valves, the media flow of chemical hoses is regulated without additional interfaces in contact with the media.

Solenoid valves are compatible with all soft elastomer or rubber hoses. In particular, silicone hoses and hoses made from EPDM/PP are often used in combination with tube pinch valves. However, for an ideal squeezing process, the Shore hardness A should be between 50° and 60°. Also, the maximum permissible media temperature of +70°C must be observed.

The valve housings are optionally made of steel or aluminium, while the valve body and clamps are made from POM (polyoxymethylene, Delrin®).

The range consists of the following types:

  • Tube pinch valves – Mini - for 1 to 8 hoses
  • Tube pinch valves – Standard - with 1 hose
  • Tube pinch valves – standard - with 2 hoses

Voltage and function

  • 12 V= and 24 V= (direct current) are offered as control voltage
  • The tube pinch valves can be chosen as either closed without current (NC, Normally Closed) or open without current (NO, Normally Open)
  • For hoses with outer diameter: 1.6mm, 2.4mm, 3.2mm, 4.8mm, 6.4mm or 9.5mm
  • Silicone hoses are ideal for fitting tube pinch valves – but other soft elastomer hoses with a max. Shore hardness A of 60° can also be used
