Plates, boards, and sheets for industry: plastic plates, rubber plates, metal plates

Reichelt Chemietechnik is a specialist in semi-finished productslaboratory equipment and hoses which are used in many industrial application areas. These include our plates, which are available in various materials such as rubber, plastic, and metal in different designs.

Rubber plates and plastic plates

IIR

The rubber plates include models made of IIR (isobutene-isoprene rubber, butyl rubber) with a shore A hardness 60° in accordance with DIN 53505 and a temperature stress of -40°C to +100°C.

CR/SBR

A special group is made up of rubber sheets made of the materials CR (chloroprene rubber) and SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber). For example, RCT offers semi-finished products which are food-safe and have a shore A hardness of 60° in accordance with DIN 53505.

CSM

Semi-finished board products made of CSM (chlorosulfonated polyethylene) are also part of the range.

EPDM

A special feature is the EPDM sandwich plate with a PTFE coat - ideal for punching seals for the pharmaceutical industry.

FKM

FKM (Fluororubber, Viton®) plates are produced and offered in the shore A hardnesses 70° and 75°.

PUR

Our range also includes products made of PUR (polyurethane, Vulkollan®). Depending on the variant, these have a low, medium or high density.

NBR

NBR plates are of particular interest. Their resistance to fuels, mineral oils, as well as vegetable and animal oils should be emphasised. A special position is occupied by the variants which are cross-linked with a cotton fabric.

HDPE

HDPE (high-density polyethylene) plates are produced with shore D hardness 66° in accordance with DIN 53505.

PA

These plastic plates are used for sliding functions, especially in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering and process engineering.

PC

Semi-finished products made of PC (polycarbonate, Makrolon®) are used for precision parts in precision engineering. They are used for optical parts, but also in electronics and for computer housings.

PCTFE

PCTFE (Polychlorotrifluoroethylene) is used in plate form in nuclear engineering, medical engineering, chemical engineering and electrical engineering, with nuclear engineering and medical engineering being particular fields of application. It is worth highlighting that PCTFE plates are harder than all other fluoroplastics on the market. Their permeability is extremely low.

PE

RCT offers PE (polyethylene) plates in a soft and hard version, where the soft version complies with the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia, i.e. the soft PE products are FDA- and BfR-compliant.

PEEK

PEEK (polyetheretherketone) plates are BfR- and FDA-compliant. These semi-finished products prove themselves through very high mechanical strength, stiffness and hardness as well as through a high resistance to heat distortion.

PI

The PI high-performance products are used for the production of valve seats, plain bearings, castors and high-temperature insulators. They are high-temperature resistant.

PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate, Plexiglas®)

PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate, Plexiglas®) is crystal-clear and therefore has very good optical properties. The corresponding semi-finished products are UV-resistant and have good chemical resistance to acids and alkalis.

POM

Plates made of POM (polyoxymethylene, Delrin®) are used for the production of plain bearings, cams and modules as well as for guide rollers. They are also used for precision parts for mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.

PP

RCT offers plates made of PP (polypropylene) in the colours natural and pebble grey. They are both FDA- and BfR-compliant and therefore comply with the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia.

PS

PS (polystyrene) proves itself through a very high impact strength as well as an extraordinary stiffness and hardness. Another advantage is its high resistance to acids and alkalis.

PTFE

Boards made of the plastic PTFE – extruded – are FDA- and BfR-compliant and therefore meet the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia. Semi-finished products made of this material are used in precision engineering, electrical engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering, as well as in mechanical engineering and apparatus engineering.

PVC

RCT offers plates made of PVC-U (rigid PVC) as crystal-clear and light-grey models. Semi-finished products made of this material have a high stiffness and are characterised by excellent dimensional stability. Their mechanical strength is equally impressive.

PVDF

From the group of fluoroplastic boards, versions made of the plastic PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride, Kynar®) should be mentioned as high-performance plates, which are primarily used for chemical apparatus engineering, for mechanical engineering, but also for biotechnology and pharmaceutical technology. Last but not least, PVDF is an important material for nuclear engineering.

SBR

Plastic plates made of the material SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) are available in three types of shore hardness, 50°, 70° und 85°.

Foam

Foam plates made of silicone (THOMASIL) are available with a shore A hardness of 12° in accordance with DIN 53505.

Other silicone variants

Reichelt Chemietechnik presents silicone boards in six different versions and therefore with different material properties.

Red silicone plates

Another group are the silicone plates made of red material (reddish brown), which are also FDA/BfR compliant and therefore comply with the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia.

Silicone and PTFE

Silicone plates with PTFE coating are also part of RCT's range. This is a firmly connected two-plate combination made of the materials silicone and PTFE, used to make seals for chromatography, biotechnology and fermentation.

CR

Cellular rubber plates made of CR (chloroprene rubber, Neoprene®) are coloured black.

Metal plates

In addition to plastic plates and rubber plates, RCT offers numerous metal plates. Screen plates made of aluminium and stainless steel are on offer, which are used in chemical engineering, fluid technology as well as in gas technology and the petroleum industry, but these semi-finished products are also in demand in hospital technology.

Aluminium

Plates made of aluminium are offered in the highest purity. The material AIBS 1.74 is the processing basis for the corresponding metal plates.

Stainless steel

RCT supplies stainless-steel plates in a seamless design in accordance with ASTM 269. These metal plates are made of tenitic, corrosion-resistant steel. The stainless-steel plates are easily polishable and easily machinable. They are preferred for use in chemical technology, gas technology and food technology.

Copper

Copper plates are highly conductive and corrosion-resistant. They have a copper content of 99.9%, so the corresponding materials can be called high-tech materials.

Brass

Brass plates are absolutely corrosion-resistant and highly conductive. Brass plates can be easily deformed.
