Mesh fabrics, filter mats, and activated carbon fleeces for filtration technology

Mesh fabrics, filter mats, filter fabrics, and activated carbon fleeces in the form of activated carbon fleeces are used in filtration technology as sections or filter discs. As a specialized provider of filters, screens, and fluid technology components, Reichelt Chemietechnik offers a comprehensive selection of such products in its range. We manufacture the filter fabrics and fleeces from the following materials:

  • PET/PETP (Polyethylene terephthalate)
  • ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene Copolymer)
  • ECTFE (Ethylene Chlorotrifluoroethylene)
  • PA 6.6 (Polyamide 6.6)
  • PE (Polyethylene)
  • PP (Polypropylene, Hostalen®PP)
  • PVDC (Polyvinylidene chloride)
  • PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride, Kynar®, Solef®)
  • Stainless steel (SS 314)

Characteristics of filter fabrics

The mesh size varies widely. All mesh fabrics are available from 80 µm to 4000 µm in stock. Many of the materials used in the production of filter or sieve fabrics are high-performance plastics with good temperature resistance and high chemical resistance. They offer excellent mechanical strength and thermal stability. The filter fabrics are UV-resistant and also possess excellent elastic properties.

Materials for mesh fabrics

ECTFE

Mesh filter fabric made from ECTFE is resistant to acids, alkalis, and solvents. The operating temperature ranges from +90 °C to +150 °C.

PA 6.6

Fabrics for filters and screens made from PA 6.6 are antistatic, achieved by incorporating electrically conductive threads.

PET Fabric

Mesh fabric made from polyester (Polyethylene terephthalate, PET) shows no signs of fatigue even under heavy mechanical stress. It is resistant to hydrolysis, acids, and solvents. The working temperature ranges from -75 °C to +150 °C.

PP Fabric

PP demonstrates high tensile strength and excellent abrasion resistance, preventing fatigue of the plastic fabric. The maximum working temperature is +90 °C, which can be temporarily raised to +120 °C.

PVDC Fabric

Mesh fabric made from PVDC is used for the filtration of sewage sludge, air filters, and laboratory filters. It is suitable for operating temperatures of +80 °C. A short-term increase in the maximum temperature to +115 °C is possible.

PVDF Fabric

Filter fabric made from PVDF, as a high-performance plastic fabric, exhibits exceptional chemical resistance, combined with an operating temperature of up to +120 °C, which can be temporarily raised to +140 °C. PVDF is dimensionally stable with very high mechanical strength.

Activated carbon fleeces and other components for filters

In addition to the mesh fabric program, Reichelt Chemietechnik produces activated carbon filter fleeces from PE in three variations: fine-pored, medium-pored, and coarse-pored. PE activated carbon fleeces contain between 30% and 50% activated carbon. These fleeces are used in medical gas systems, but they are also utilized in the production of face shields or combat filter systems. You can also find numerous additional components for your sieve, analysis sieve, or filter made of high-quality stainless steel.
