Stopcocks are considered to be straight-way cocks, which are made from plastic, brass and stainless steel.

Spherical valves are also defined as straight-way cocks or 2-way valves, which are used in laboratory technology, chemical technology and process technology. With spherical valves/straight-way cocks/2-way valves, Reichelt Chemietechnik covers both the laboratory area with low flow rates as well as the area of chemical engineering, industrial engineering and process technology with high flow rates.

Stopcocks

Stopcocks are also referred to as straight-way cocks, whereby they are primarily reserved for analysis and the laboratory area. The valves are available in nominal widths from 4 mm to 12 mm in different material versions. For example, Reichelt Chemietechnik supplies Stopcocks in the materials HDPE (high-density polyethylene), LDPE (low-density polyethylene), PP (polypropylene) and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene, THOMAFLON).

Spherical valves made from PP as straight-way cocks

Spherical valves made from PP (polypropylene) as straight-way cocks are equipped on both sides with a flexible connection fitting in accordance with DIN 8063, whereby the connection from the spherical valve to the pipe can be carried out by welding or gluing. The max. working temperature is +80°C, but the max. operating pressure is specified at 10 bar at +20°C.

The connection of the tap to the pipe is secured by connection through gluing and welding processes and is very simple.

Spherical valves as straight-through or Stopcocks made from other materials

Spherical valves made from PVC-U are offered in nominal sizes of 15, 20, 25, 32, 40 and 50 mm. A flexible terminal connection in accordance with DIN 8063 distinguishes these Stopcocks, whereby the adaptation of the pipes to the spherical valves is ensured by the welding process or adhesive process. The working temperature is at max. +60°C and the max. pressure load is guaranteed with 10 bar at +20°C.

PTFE Stopcocks

RCT's range includes a wide range of Stopcocks made from PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene, THOMAFLON). These are, on the one hand, Stopcocks and taps made from PTFE as straight-way cocks for hoses on both sides with the same dimensions and, on the other hand, Stopcocks and taps made from PTFE for hoses with connections for different hose sizes.

Straight-way cocks made from PP

RCT also offers straight-way cocks made from PP (polypropylene), which are either provided with external threads on both sides or with a screwcap with external thread on both sides.

Stopcocks and straight-way cocks for the pharmaceutical industry/food industry

RCT also offers valves and taps made from PP for the pharmaceutical/food industry, which are equipped with connectors. The Stopcocks allow a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C, whereby the operating pressure is fixed at 10 bar at +20°C.

Luer Stopcocks

In addition to the conventional plastic straight-way cocks, RCT offers Luer Stopcocks as straight-way cocks as well as Luer Stopcocks for hard hoses as straight-way cocks and Luer stop valves with clip as straight-way cocks. These are 2/2 Luer Stopcocks for female Luer-Lock or male Luer-Lock in all versions.

Brass Stopcocks or taps made from stainless steel

In addition, Reichelt Chemietechnik offers brass Stopcocks, with external thread on both sides or with internal thread on both sides.

Furthermore, brass taps are offered which allow a temperature range from -40°C to +170°C. In this case, the spherical seal is made from PTFE and the spindle seal is made from FPM/FKM. This material specification allows higher temperature loads.

A special range of Stopcocks and straight-way cocks are valves made from steel and stainless steel, which are optionally available with hose nozzles, internal threads or pipe fittings.

You can order Stopcocks and straight-way cocks from Reichelt Chemietechnik

Reichelt Chemietechnik offers a wide range of Stopcocks/straight-way cocks made from plastic, brass, stainless steel and in a wide variety of designs. RCT keeps its entire range of spherical valves, straight-way cocks, Stopcocks and additional accessories permanently in stock, so that the product ordered can be delivered in a short time. The same applies if more than 2-way valves are requested. Our offer also includes a large selection of multiple-way-valves.

The cocks, taps and valves offered by Reichelt guarantee absolute tightness so that undesired leakage of the pumped medium or of water is prevented and so incidents are completely avoided.
