Regulating valves made from PP, PVDF, PFA, PTFE and metal are considered as shut-off valves, straight-through valves and laboratory valves.

Regulating valves as building blocks for chemical process engineering

When it comes to the conveyance and flow of fluids, Reichelt Chemietechnik knows how to convince with an outstanding offer. So we offer an extensive selection of cocks, taps and valves. Within this portfolio you'll discover a number of regulating valves or shut-off valves, which we have available in varying materials. In addition to straight-through valves made from brass and stainless steel, we keep models made from different plastics in stock.

Where are regulating valves used?

The field of application of regulating valves is extremely extensive. In particular, fine regulating valves for liquids and gases are reserved for chemical process engineering, analytical engineering and biotechnology. They are biocompatible and media resistant. The principle of operation of the shut-off valves is characterised by screwing the spindle into the valve housing. As a result, the media flow is reliably controlled or blocked. The components are available both as 2-way valves and as 3-way valves.

Wide range of materials

If you're looking for a suitable regulating valve, then you have a choice between different materials. These include plastics such as PP (polypropylene, Hostalen®), PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride, Kynar®, Solef®) and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene, THOMAFLON). The leak testing of the shut-off valves made from plastic is carried out in accordance with DIN 3230 and so ensures the highest quality control or the highest standard of quality.

Variations on regulating valves

Fine regulating valves

The fine regulating valves made from PP are produced as straight-through and angle valves. They are available with nominal sizes of 3 mm, 4 mm and 8 mm, with the maximum flow capacity for liquids being specified as 60 l/h, 70 l/h, 250 l/h, 270 l/h and 600 l/h, depending on the type. The maximum working temperature of these regulating valves is +120°C and the highest possible operating pressure is 6 bar at +20°C. Fine regulating valves made from PVDF are offered with the same characteristics as versions made from PP. Only the permissible maximum working temperature, which is +120°C, changes. Valves for fine regulation made from PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) are also part of the range. Their construction is identical. Here, too, only the maximum temperature range changes, which is +180°C.

Gate valves

RCT offers gate valves and shut-off valves made from the materials PP and PVDF. Reliable media flow is guaranteed. Regulation is carried out by screwing in the valve spindle. All in all, the regulating valves undergo a strict seal test in accordance with DIN 3230.

Needle valves

Needle valves made from PTFE are also in the range. They guarantee a highly accurate dosing process for gases and liquids and are designed for hoses with an outer diameter of 3/8".

Angle valves

Angle valves for uncomplicated sampling from hose lines are also part of RCT's standard range. These regulating valves are available in the materials PP, PFA and PVDF and are provided for max. operating pressures of 6 bar and equipped with internal thread G 1/4". They are used in laboratory technology, biotechnology and process engineering for continuous and safe sampling.
